Shanghai Wold Expo 2010 boasts Archicad designs

This year’s Shanghai World Expo included more than 190 countries and over 50 international organisations, making it one of China’s largest ever expos. The innovative pavilions are always a major focus boasting many ground-breaking structures, and this year many of which were designed in Archicad, including the entries of Norway, Hungary, Finland, Iceland and Russia.
Norway’s pavilion designed by Helen + Hard featured a bamboo or wooden structure that created the sense of walking in a Norwegian forest, while the Hungarian one designed by Tamás Lévai also gave the illusion of walking in a forest with its hanging wooden rods, but also featured a unique invention called the Gömböc, the world’s first self-righting object. Truly inspiring!
